Showlei's business is selling proprietary semiconductor video compression chips and in licensing our Intellectual Property (chip design and/or software).

Showlei's predecessor company was founded in 1985 and Showlei Associates (the corporation) was founded in 1993.  We have a history of the development of proprietary  video codecs spanning more than 20 years.  CamCoder High Definition Encoder is the 5th generation for Showlei and the 7th for Showlei's founder who holds many US and foreign patents for video compression.  His US patents are cited as prior art in 245 US patents.  Showlei maintains technical staff in Tokyo, Japan, Beijing, China, and Temecula, CA, USA.
